Mechanical Engineering Heat Exchange Sales Applications Engineer
  • This position requires a four year engineering degree, at least two years of experience in industrial sales application engineering, and five or more years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Successful candidates must have excellent communication skills and enjoy engaging with customers over the phone as a significant portion of the role (around 30% of the time) will be spent making and receiving phone calls (approximately twenty to twenty-five calls daily)
  • Compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000
  • Applicants must be either a United States citizen or a Green Card holder
  • This is not a remote position

The Sales Application Engineer will utilize an industry-specific internet-based software that automates the entire sales applications engineering process. Customers can easily enter their data on the website, and the software generates quotes, proposals, and follow-ups. This streamlined approach allows the Sales Application Engineers to focus on finding the best product solutions for each customer. The software enables potential customers to receive quotes and proposals within minutes. Travel is not required for this position. The primary duties and responsibilities include:
The Sales Application Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Dedicating 30% of their time to phone communication, making and receiving approximately twenty to twenty-five calls daily
  • Applying technical knowledge of company products to assist customers
  • Investigating and understanding customer needs
  • Solving customer problems
  • Utilizing engineering expertise throughout the sales process
  • Providing alternative proposals to company sales professionals based on analysis
  • Communicating with customers via phone, email, and virtual channels


Prior experience with heat transfer is beneficial for this role. The successful candidate will have the following background:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering
  • At least five years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • The ability to effectively communicate with customers over the phone
  • A strong aptitude for mechanical concepts
  • At least two years of experience in industrial sales
  • A solid work history
  • United States citizenship or Green Card holder status
  • Residence within a 45-minute drive of the Richfield area
