Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Greenville, NC

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily activities of our team consisting of millwrights, electricians, and mechanics. In this role, you will prioritize safety, quality, and reliability in our maintenance practices. Your responsibilities will include leading team meetings and trainings, identifying issues related to safety, environment, quality, and production, coordinating with production teams for optimal productivity and cost reduction, and addressing reliability concerns proactively. Additionally, you will resolve employee issues, foster teamwork, and ensure compliance with site policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to proactively detect and address safety issues
  • Supervise maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work completion
  • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems to minimize unscheduled downtime
  • Efficiently troubleshoot issues to meet volume and quality targets
  • Develop training processes to enhance the team's technical skills
  • Utilize computer-based programs for maintenance request prioritization, inventory management, and resource allocation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance supervisory role within an industrial setting
  • Proven ability to lead a team and ensure accountability towards department metrics and goals
  • Experience in implementing and ensuring compliance with safety initiatives
  • Proficient in hydraulics, air systems, mechanical drives, mechanical components, installation methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques, welding, and basic industrial electrical
  • Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methods
  • Capability to identify the root cause of problems and take immediate corrective action to prevent recurrence
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
  • Proven ability to enhance performance through coaching and development of associates
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • High work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and positive influence in driving safety, environment, quality, productivity, and people development
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based programs, and internet skills
  • Consistent track record of achieving and sustaining business goals
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Planning software such as SAP
