Sanitary Piping / Mechanical Process Engineer

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Project Engineer, with an additional 2 years of experience in biotechnology, food, or pharmaceutical industries involving sanitary piping

We are currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer, specializing in Sanitary Piping, for an established and expanding manufacturer of custom structural, system, and metal components. Our diverse client base includes biotechnology, food, and pharmaceutical companies. With a focus on employee development and promotion from within, we offer numerous growth opportunities as our business continues to thrive. As a smaller company, we prioritize employee satisfaction and have maintained a strong workforce of approximately 100 employees for over 30 years, without any layoffs since 2007.

 

For ambitious individuals with the aptitude and drive, there is potential for advancement into a project management role. This position is available due to increasing demand for our products and services. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  • Managing projects to ensure timelines and budgets are met
  • Creating schedules and budgets for various engineering projects
  • Designing, engineering, fabricating, and testing customized engineering projects
  • Reviewing detailed 3D SolidWorks drawings for custom engineering projects
  • Collaborating with various vendors and customers
  • Working closely with engineering and production teams
  • Supporting and collaborating with project engineers
  • Creating and maintaining the Production Ready Library
  • Preparing Engineering Change Notices
  • Developing bills of materials
  • Coordinating various integration tasks
  • Overseeing installations in the field

 

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer, combined with 2 years of experience in biotechnology, food, or pharmaceutical industries involving sanitary piping
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with 2 or more years of experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Consistent work history demonstrating reliability and strong work ethic
  • Legal residence within a 45-minute commute from Whitewater
