The software enables potential customers to receive quotes and proposals within fifteen minutes of providing their information. This position does not require any travel. The key responsibilities for this role are as follows:
- Manage, mentor, and motivate the sales applications engineering staff
- Engage in telephone conversations with customers, accounting for approximately 30% of the time (around twenty to twenty-five calls per day)
- Handle Request For Quote inquiries
- Lead meetings with the sales applications engineering staff
- Assist customers in their product selection process
- Review engineering drawings and customer quotes
- Apply technical mechanical knowledge to the company's product offerings
- Investigate customer needs and provide effective solutions to their problems
- Analyze and present appropriate alternative proposals to the company's sales professionals
Experience with combustion would be advantageous. The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- At least ten years of management experience
- A minimum of five years of mechanical engineering experience
- Enjoyment in engaging with customers through telephone conversations
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Two years of industrial sales applications experience
- A stable work history with no short-term jobs of less than three years
- Must be a US citizen or green card holder
- Residence within a 45-minute drive from the location
