This is a full-time, permanent position as a Mechanical Project Engineering Custom Machine Designer at an employee-centered company specializing in custom automation engineering design. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities and duties:
  • Designing various types of machines from conception to completion
  • Developing customized automation and robotic work cell equipment
  • Creating innovative solutions to technical problems
  • Ensuring successful execution of projects throughout the production process
  • Collaborating with machinists, assemblers, and electrical personnel
  • Working effectively within a team
  • Managing projects and meeting designated time constraints

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and background:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering
  • A minimum of two years of experience in designing custom automated equipment machines, from concept to completion
  • Proficiency in using SolidWorks software
  • Understanding of machine tool operations, material science, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of machine design principles and power transmission
  • Experience in creating 3D drawings
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and self-motivation
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate challenges
