This is a full-time position as a Mechanical Project Engineering Designer with an employee-oriented company specializing in custom automation engineering design. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Designing machines throughout the entire development process
- Developing custom automation and robotic work cell equipment
- Identifying and implementing effective problem-solving strategies
- Overseeing projects until completion
- Collaborating with machinists, assemblers, and electrical personnel
- Working cohesively as part of a team
- Effectively managing projects within designated time constraints
Applicants must possess the following background qualifications:
- A degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering
- At least two years of experience in designing custom automated equipment from concept to completion
- Proficiency in using SolidWorks
- An understanding of machine tool, material science, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts
- Familiarity with machine design and power transmission
- Experience in 3D drawing
- A creative and proactive approach to work
- Ability to foresee and effectively resolve problems
