Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Boise, ID
A highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Project Coordinator is needed to join the team of a leading Industrial General Contractor in Boise, ID. The successful candidate will provide project coordination support for various mechanical/industrial construction projects. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring projects are completed within budget, on time, and with the utmost quality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost management systems.
- Analyze and assess project risks, as well as develop risk management plans.
- Effectively communicate project information to stakeholders, including project team members, management, and clients.
- Regularly update project managers and stakeholders on project performance and progress.
- Resolve project conflicts and issues as they arise.
- Assist in developing project proposals, contracts, and scope documents.
- Supervise and guide a team of project controls engineers and analysts.
- Provide training and support to project team members on project controls processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of project controls standards, productivity tracking, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Over 10 years of project controls experience, preferably in the industrial construction industry.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and cost management systems.
- Strong grasp of project management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other project management software.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in earned value management (EVM).
- Knowledge in risk management.
- Background in construction estimating.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
