MEDICAL IMAGING ASSISTANT
SPECIALIZED CARE FACILITY

Reporting to the LVN Supervisor, Site Manager, or Radiology Manager, the Medical Imaging Assistant will provide assistance to physicians/providers in performing general medicine or specialized medical practice tasks as a Medical Assistant. They will also be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures within their area of expertise and ensuring accuracy under the guidance of a radiologist. Additionally, the Medical Imaging Assistant will effectively interact with patients and other staff members, while also fulfilling responsibilities related to the imaging department's darkroom.

Minimum qualifications:

• Completion of high school or equivalent educational attainment
• Graduate of a State-recognized vocational school or an equivalent program
• Diploma in Medical Assisting
• Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification obtained upon hiring
• At least 2 years of experience as a Back Office Medical Assistant/Limited X-Ray Tech in an ambulatory care facility or medical group practice

Preferred qualifications:

• Proficiency in EMR and IDX systems
• National Medical Assistant Certification obtained upon hiring
