Metallurgical Engineer

As a Material Scientist, you will be actively involved in the field of materials science, leveraging your expertise to develop innovative materials. We specialize in producing large alloy castings for diverse industries such as aerospace, defense, and industrial equipment. What you will be doing:

  • You will be responsible for defining the metallurgical requirements for casted projects.
  • Your role involves troubleshooting problems with castings.
  • You will provide technical support to both internal and external customers.
  • You may also lead or participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering.
  • Prior hands-on experience of at least 5 years working with casting metallurgy.
  • You must be a team player capable of collaborating with staff at all levels.
  • Note: Due to the nature of our defense work, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience with induction furnace melting, arc melting, and AOD refining is highly beneficial.
  • Having extensive knowledge of alloys, particularly those involving copper, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Six-Sigma / Lean Manufacturing practices is also advantageous.
