Job Title: Manufacturing Plant Electrician

Location: Charleston, SC

This position follows a rotating shift schedule at a DuPont manufacturing facility.

Purpose: The Manufacturing Plant Electrician is responsible for aligning electrical and electronic industry standards to improve equipment reliability and performance while prioritizing workplace safety.

Primary Duties:

1. Perform routine and corrective maintenance to enhance safety, efficiency, and production output.
2. Inspect, service, and repair motor control systems (low and medium voltage).
3. Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnostics on motor drive systems.
4. Utilize PLC interfaces for equipment issue diagnosis and resolution.
5. Identify and resolve electrical faults to minimize downtime and increase productivity.

Requirements:

• Education:
  • Possess an Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology, completed military training in electronics, or hold a high school diploma in addition to 3+ years of experience in electronic maintenance and repair.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in NFPA 70E/NEC safety codes.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience involving automation, instrumentation calibration, and equipment repairs.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems and troubleshooting mechanical systems such as hydraulics and pneumatics.
