MFG Plant Electrician

Location: Charleston, SC

This role follows a rotating shift schedule at the DuPont manufacturing plant.

Purpose: The MFG Plant Electrician is responsible for implementing industry-standard electrical and electronic practices to improve the reliability and performance of equipment, with a strong focus on workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular and corrective maintenance to enhance safety, efficiency, and production output.
2. Inspect, service, and repair motor control systems, both low and medium voltage.
3. Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostics on motor drive systems.
4. Utilize PLC interfaces for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
5. Identify and rectify electrical faults to minimize downtime and increase productivity.

Requirements:

• Education:
• Possess an Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology, completed military training in electronics, or hold a high school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic maintenance and repair.
• Skills:
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E/NEC safety codes.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Possess 3 years of industrial experience dealing with automation, instrumentation calibration, and equipment repairs.
• Knowledgeable about industrial control systems and troubleshooting mechanical systems such as hydraulics and pneumatics.
