CORPORATE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Corporate Transactions Associate to join our prestigious law firm's Corporate Practice Group in Charlotte. This exciting opportunity allows you to work on sophisticated business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate governance matters for a diverse range of clients.
Candidate Profile:
- Graduated from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing with the North Carolina Bar.
- 4-6 years of experience in corporate transactions, including M&A, corporate governance, and general commercial transactions.
- Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting due diligence, and providing guidance on deal structures, specifically in the manufacturing, renewable energy, automotive, and healthcare industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, including drafting, negotiation, and finalization of transaction documents.
- Assist clients in navigating corporate governance issues and structuring and executing business transactions.
- Conduct thorough due diligence reviews and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with fellow attorneys to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality legal services.
- Represent clients from various industries, such as manufacturing and distribution, automotive, life sciences and biotechnology, health care, energy, food and beverage, environmental, and waste services and recycling sectors.
- Oversee all aspects of transactional matters from start to finish.
