Position Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Electrical Engineer eager to gain hands-on experience, professional development, and mentorship. As a valued member of our team, you’ll contribute to a variety of electrical engineering projects, including bidding, performance evaluation, quality control, and production efforts. You’ll collaborate closely with our Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), design, and field teams, gaining broad exposure and sharpening your technical skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned engineering tasks with diligence and professionalism, including consultation, design, equipment selection, coordination, safety review, and planning.

  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement project solutions.

  • Assist in preparing project proposals.

  • Provide timely written progress reports to clients and management.

  • Manage assigned tasks under the guidance and mentorship of senior staff and supervisors.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and departmental efficiency.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Comfortable engaging with clients and managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Independent decision-making abilities that support successful project outcomes.

  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless deliverables.

  • Familiarity with SKM modeling software (preferred).

  • Basic understanding of power supply systems up to 4160 volts, including utility power requirements.

  • Knowledge of Motor Control Center (MCC) equipment.

  • Exposure to oil and gas treatment and processing operations is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive project information.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for knowledge sharing.

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required (or the ability to obtain).

  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license and prior experience in the oil and gas industry.

Operational & Physical Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–20%.

  • Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture.

  • Ability to work extended periods at a computer in an office setting.

  • Willingness to conduct site visits to refineries, chemical plants, drilling platforms, manufacturing plants, gas processing plants, and pipelines.

  • Comfortable climbing ladders and stairs to access process equipment and towers.

  • Capability to use supplied air devices in potentially hazardous environments.

  • Occasional entry into confined spaces.

  • Valid driver’s license for passenger vehicles and light trucks.

  • Ability to drive and navigate in unfamiliar locations.

  • Proficiency with mobile devices for communication and data collection.

  • Physical ability to walk at least ½ mile across uneven terrain and carry up to 20 pounds for ¼ mile.

  • Readiness to quickly evacuate work locations during emergencies.

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding complex technical documents in English.

  • Clear communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.

  • Ability to produce accurate, professional documentation and emails.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours (nine or more hours per day) as required.

  • Comfortable working in hazardous environments such as refineries and gas processing plants.

  • Ability to utilize public transportation, hotels, and other travel accommodations for work-related travel.
