ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – EMINENT DOMAIN & CONDEMNATION LITIGATION
Location: South Carolina (Columbia, Greenville, or Charleston)
Our client, a prestigious law firm in the Southeast, is searching for a qualified Litigation Associate Attorney to join their distinguished team that specializes in Eminent Domain & Condemnation Practice. This exceptional opportunity is available in their office located in Columbia, Greenville, or Charleston, and guarantees an environment where you will work on complex commercial real estate litigation, specifically focusing on eminent domain and condemnation matters, all while being supported by a dynamic and collaborative team.
Candidate Profile:
- Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD)Degree, preferably from a highly regarded law school with an excellent academic track record.
- Active bar admission in South Carolina is a requirement.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate litigation.
- Demonstrated ability in effectively dealing with hearings, discovery, and depositions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to compile intricate legal research.
- Interest or prior experience in areas such as eminent domain/condemnation, property rights, land use, zoning/entitlements, real estate development, commercial real estate transactions, or real estate litigation.
- Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a high-volume practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent various clients, including property and business owners, as well as governmental entities and utilities, in matters related to eminent domain and condemnation.
- Provide guidance and advice to clients throughout all stages of eminent domain proceedings and property disputes.
- Oversee and manage a wide range of litigation duties, such as drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, preparing for depositions, and attending hearings.
- Collaborate with a proficient team of attorneys to develop strategies, negotiate settlements, and advocate for clients' interests in complex property disputes.
- Deliver exceptional legal counsel and support to clients involved in commercial real estate litigation.
