Experienced Associate Attorney - Construction Dispute Resolution Specialist
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
A prestigious law firm in the Southeast is currently seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their expanding Construction, Development & Condemnation Litigation Practice Group in the beautiful city of Charleston. This is an exciting opportunity to handle a diverse range of challenging construction dispute resolution cases in a vibrant and supportive work environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school and possess a solid academic track record.
- Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
- Have 5-7 years of relevant experience in complex construction dispute resolution.
- Demonstrate proficiency in drafting legal pleadings, presenting motions, and conducting in-depth discovery activities, including conducting depositions.
- Possess exceptional skills in legal research, writing, and communication.
- Showcase strong analytical skills and the ability to work both individually and collaboratively as part of a team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in intricate construction dispute resolution cases, such as mediation, arbitration, and litigation in both federal and state courts.
- Handle a wide range of litigation tasks, ranging from drafting legal pleadings to arguing motions and conducting depositions.
- Provide advice and support to clients throughout the negotiation, preparation, and review of construction contracts.
- Engage with clients and work closely with a talented and experienced practice group.
