Position Summary:
The MRI Lead position requires independent decision-making and problem-solving skills to oversee personnel, equipment maintenance, and scheduling for the MRI department in Irvine.
- Manage and supervise MRI operations for inpatient and outpatient services, focusing on delivering excellent service, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction in Irvine.
- Collaborate with the MRI Manager on HR-related matters, such as staffing and training.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and State and Federal guidelines.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to address any issues or concerns related to satisfaction or service.
- Proficiently operate MRI equipment and provide training to others as necessary.
- Perform advanced procedures that require independent judgment and clinical expertise.
- Show initiative in taking on new responsibilities and learning new procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English to explain technical MRI concepts, actively listen, persuade, advise, and counsel.
- Venipuncture Certification
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and software malfunctions to coordinate appropriate service personnel.
- Hold a RDCS certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or RCS certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and work weekend shifts.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of recent MRI experience in an Adult Acute Care Facility.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse patient populations and demonstrate sensitivity.
- In-depth knowledge of MRI equipment and relevant technology to operate and monitor effectively.
- Demonstrated understanding of MRI principles and ability to ensure operations align with regulatory standards.
- Proven leadership skills in training and guiding employees on radiology modality techniques.
- Ability to problem-solve and propose solutions within defined procedures and policies using critical thinking skills.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a complex, challenging environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
- BLS Certification required.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to organize staff and unit operations efficiently and coordinate schedules to serve patients promptly.
- Adaptability to thrive and work effectively amidst constant changes.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, researchers, radiology technicians, and other clinical staff.
- ARRT certification
- AART-MRI
Ideal Candidate
