Position Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Civil Engineer – Municipal to lead impactful infrastructure projects in the Benton Harbor area. You’ll manage municipal projects from concept to construction—stormwater, water and sanitary systems, roadways, site plans, and more. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll mentor junior staff, collaborate cross-functionally, and help shape the future of local infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead design, plan production, and site development for municipal projects

Oversee calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documentation

Coordinate with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utilities for permits and approvals

Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce technical drawings and plans
-
Manage budgets, timelines, and client communications
-
Guide public engagement efforts and community-facing presentations
-
Mentor junior engineers and promote a team-first, growth-focused culture

Contribute to business development, fee estimates, and proposal preparation

Conduct field visits to monitor construction and ensure quality assurance
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
-
PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

Experience in municipal infrastructure design and project delivery

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
-
Strong communication and leadership skills
-
Ability to manage projects and mentor multidisciplinary teams

Experience with budgeting, public engagement, and proposal development
