We are looking for a detail-oriented Head of National Sales who can effectively translate sales strategies into actionable steps and set a positive tone for the team.

This role requires a highly organized and disciplined individual who can collaborate across departments to develop processes and strategies that will help close sales opportunities. You must be efficient in your daily activities and have a passion for driving sales success.

As the Head of National Sales, you will lead our sales operations in the USA, developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our company's goals and objectives. With your leadership, we aim to expand our market presence and cultivate strong relationships with key clients to drive sales success.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

§ Developing and executing sales strategies: Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy across North America that supports our goals and objectives.

§ Market analysis: Monitor market trends, opportunities, and challenges to develop strategies that will drive sales success in all territories. Stay informed about competitors and their value propositions.

§ Team management and development: Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team, setting clear targets and KPIs. Provide training and mentorship to support their professional growth and create a culture of excellence and accountability.

§ Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and offer innovative technology solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

§ Partners management: Establish and maintain relationships with agents for specific territories, working closely with territory managers to ensure effective collaboration.

§ Revenue growth and market expansion: Drive sales growth and establish new market opportunities across North America. Build strong relationships with new and existing customers to achieve sustainable financial results.

§ Collaboration and integration: Work closely with the Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market expansion and customer management.

§ Performance monitoring: Regularly review sales performance, provide detailed reports to senior management, and make adjustments to strategies as needed to meet or exceed goals.

§ Negotiation strategies: Assist salespeople in preparing for negotiations, utilizing pricing, conditions, and technical solutions to secure business.

§ Product development: Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to create effective sales materials and promotional strategies.

§ Budget and forecasts: Assist upper management in defining the annual sales budget and provide quarterly forecasts.

§ Pipeline management: Develop and manage the sales budget and pipeline, ensuring resource allocation is efficient and aligned with desired outcomes.

§ Personnel management: Oversee the US sales network, including determining wages and commissions, managing hiring and terminations with HR support.

§ CRM/CPQ utilization: Be proficient in using CRM/CPQ tools and support salespeople in their correct utilization.

The ideal candidate will possess:

§ Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with at least 7-10 years of sales management experience, preferably in the automation industry

§ Previous experience in a high-technology sales environment with performance management responsibilities

§ Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve goals

§ Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite

§ Deep understanding of the North American market dynamics for manufacturing and automation

§ Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities and negotiation skills

§ Transparent style and willingness to appropriately explain difficult issues, with the ability to think quickly

§ Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and tasks effectively

§ Sound business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies

§ Experience with accurately forecasting and reporting on territory/account activity

§ Ability to work independently and in a structured, disciplined sales environment

§ Willingness to travel across North America as needed

Education & Experience

§ Bachelor's Degree-4-year College/University degree or equivalent experience preferred

§ Field of Study: Engineering, Business, Sales/Marketing, or similar

§ Formal training in consultative sales techniques and experience with sales methodology and CRM
