Your Role as a Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our company's network and server environment. Reporting directly to the Network Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

Ensure Network Security: Implement measures to secure our network and protect valuable data and assets from potential threats.

Drive Innovation: Propose and implement networking projects that leverage your expertise to enhance efficiency and performance.

Champion Security: Maintain protocols for network security, endpoint security, application security, and data security to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Provide Strategic Insight: Utilize your solid foundation in networking to understand and address the unique challenges of our business environment.

Achieve Results: Take ownership of tasks of varying complexity, demonstrating initiative and autonomy. Produce meticulous documentation to streamline processes.

Technical Proficiency: Proven track record in network administration with a deep understanding of networking principles and technologies. Minimum 5 years of experience in network systems administration, including experience with:
  • Cisco products such as routers, core switches, switches, phone systems, and wireless technologies (configuration, implementation, troubleshooting).
  • Security-related tools, firewalls, and data backup solutions (Fortinet, Veeam, NDR, SIEM).
  • Supporting enterprise-level operational environments (alerting, troubleshooting, procedure creation, documentation, etc.).
  • Maintaining complex enterprise network infrastructures.
  • Supporting and configuring endpoint security products (CrowdStrike, KnowBe4, etc.).
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to collaborate with vendor sales staff during product acquisition and work with vendor technical support staff to resolve problems.
  • Reside within a reasonable commute to St. Joseph, MI, or willingness to relocate upon hire.
  • Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
