Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Manager, this role is accountable for conducting a complete range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures involving radiopharmaceuticals and related chemicals. The position entails providing exceptional patient care, ensuring timely examination and efficient patient flow. The incumbent operates and conducts quality control checks on stationary and portable scintillation equipment, such as gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and other supporting equipment. Administers PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic examinations on PET/CT scanner, including injection of CT Contrast Media, image acquisition, and reformatting. The employee is responsible for performing the required scans and procedures for scanner qualification in research trials. Additionally, the role involves designing and programming study-specific protocols, following the guidance of the Nuclear Medicine Manager and Medical Director. The position requires on-call availability and working during non-standard hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the Health System
- Capability to maintain an appropriate work pace based on the workload
- Customer service skills suitable to the role
- Familiarity with State radiation safety regulations and principles of ALARA
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Willingness to provide on-call/call-back service when required
- At least one year of full-time experience as a CNMT
- Required skills, knowledge, and abilities for successful job performance
- Current BLS certification
- Currently licensed as a CNMT in the State of California
- Current and active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of full-time experience conducting Nuclear Medicine procedures
- Understanding of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00
