Nurse Director Surgical Services
Location: San Ramon, CA
Schedule: Full-Time, Days
Pay: $83.36 – $133.37/hr + Bonus + Full Benefits + Paid Relocation

MUST HAVES:

• Active Registered Nurse license in California

• Current BLS Certification (AHA)

• Associate Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor's in a healthcare-related field or BSN

• Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting (manager or full-time charge nurse)

• Strong leadership, communication, and operational skills

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Director – Surgical Services to lead a comprehensive Perioperative Services department at a respected healthcare facility in San Ramon, CA. This high-impact role offers 24-hour accountability and the opportunity to drive quality, efficiency, and outcomes across multiple surgical departments.

You’ll Oversee:

• Operating Room (OR)

• Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

• Outpatient Surgery

• GI Lab

• Sterile Processing

• Cath Lab

• Ambulatory Surgery Center

• Donor Network

What You’ll Do:

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all perioperative departments

• Lead planning, staffing, budgeting, compliance, and quality initiatives

• Develop and mentor staff to promote high performance and professional growth

• Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to enhance surgical services

• Ensure regulatory and safety standards are met consistently

• Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN strongly preferred; MSN or Master’s in a healthcare-related field is a plus

• Certification in perioperative nursing (e.g., CNOR) highly desirable

• Proven ability to manage cross-functional surgical services in a fast-paced hospital environment

• Demonstrated excellence in leadership and staff development
