  • Supervises a team including CNA TRAINEE, CNA, SR CNA, LPN, RN, and UNIT CLERK.
  • Work in a Long Term Care setting.
  • Location: Geneva, New York (Finger Lakes region).

  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to communicate with staff, patients, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Knowledgeable in management systems and processes.
    Ability to establish strong work relationships and lead others to meet organizational objectives.
  • Utilize analytical skills to assess departmental needs, develop and implement planned interventions, and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Possess basic management competencies for assigned position.
  • Ability to handle project management, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and promote teamwork through effective role modeling.
  • Familiarity with DOH requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and power point.
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products such as word, excel, and power point, as well as Meditech.
  • The Nurse Manager plays a key role in implementing strategies and activities to ensure high-quality care, patient safety, and an exceptional patient/resident/family experience. They foster staff development, empowerment, collegial relationships, and best practices in nursing care delivery. The Nurse Manager allocates resources to promote efficient, effective, compassionate, and financially responsible nursing care. They coordinate care across departments through systems that encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and communication. The Nurse Manager contributes to personnel recruitment, selection, and retention. They provide appropriate orientation, education, credentialing, and ongoing professional development for staff accountable to the nurse manager.


  • Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program.
  • Current NYS License to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse.
  • Two years of Nursing experience or Two years of Long Term Care experience.
    Supervisor or Management experience is a plus.

Facility Description:

  • This facility provides care for 130 Skilled Nursing beds, 20 Behavioral beds, and one Respite bed for scheduled short-term stays.
  • It consists of four units, including two Skilled Nursing units, a neurobehavioral unit, and a secure unit that offers skilled nursing and special needs care for cognitively-impaired residents. Additionally, short-term rehabilitation services are provided on the Skilled Nursing units for individuals transitioning to a different level of care or returning home.
  • Residents enjoy engaging activities and social opportunities in spacious dining and activities rooms, as well as in the enclosed courtyard and patios.
  • There is a personalized music program called Music and Memory for residents with dementia. Listening to favorite music or songs associated with personal events can trigger long-term memories.
  • The Life Enrichment Program is available for residents with dementia, depression, or challenging behaviors. It provides comprehensive therapeutic activities.
  • Furthermore, the facility offers a restaurant-like dining experience where family or friends can enjoy a cozy meal with their loved one who resides at the facility. The restaurant is open Monday through Friday, except on holidays, and reservations are required. Guests can enjoy a candlelight dinner featuring special menu items prepared by the chef.
  • One bed is dedicated to Respite Care, which provides temporary relief for caregivers who are ill or need to go on a business trip or vacation. Respite Care offers 24-hour skilled nursing care, nutritious meals, and recreational activities.
    Geneva is a city located in New York State, specifically in Ontario and Seneca counties. It is situated at the northern end of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes Region. The area is known for its quality wine trails, rich history, natural beauty, and four-season attractions. Cayuga Lake is home to the city of Ithaca, which houses Cornell University. The surrounding region features stunning high gorges with dramatic waterfalls, including Taughannock Falls and Buttermilk Falls.
    Watkins Glen State Park, near the tip of Seneca Lake, offers rocky cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and trout fishing. Southwest of Geneva is the renowned Corning Museum of Glass. Seneca Falls is notable for the Women's Rights National Historical Park, commemorating the site of the 1848 women's rights convention. To the north, the Old Erie Canal provides opportunities for hiking, canoeing, and fishing, while the city of Rochester overlooks Lake Ontario in the northwest.
