  2. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Adult Medicine clinic. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary health care, including health promotion and disease prevention, to patients. Working closely with department physicians, you will also collaborate on specialized care and make appropriate referrals to consultants for further diagnosis and treatment.

Medical Specialty:

  • Primary Care

The successful candidate will have:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
  • A valid State of Connecticut licensure as an APRN or PA.
  • DEA and state narcotic registration, or eligibility to obtain them.
  • A deep knowledge of nursing or physician assistant theory and practice, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, comprehensive clinical care according to established standards.
  • The ability to provide culturally competent care in a collaborative environment, serving a diverse patient population.
  • Skills in taking medical history, assessing medical conditions, and interpreting findings.
  • Strong communication abilities, both oral and written, with patients, peers, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in timely and accurate written clinical documentation.
  • An evidence-based approach to clinical decision-making and adherence to quality measures.
  • Comfort with using electronic health records and other computer systems.
  • A willingness to undertake additional assigned duties.
  • Preferably, 1-2 years of experience in an ambulatory setting or urgent care.
  • All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
