Nursing Supervisor / Nurse Opportunity


LOCATION: Fairfield, IA

What the position requires:

•Must possess an Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
•Preferred minimum of two to three years of experience in a management role, with at least three years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
•Must hold a current Iowa RN License and BCLS certification.

Hours and compensation:

•Two positions available: one for 7am-7pm and one for 7pm-7am.
•Salary range is between $63K-$84K.
•The facility offers a comprehensive benefits package and will provide a sign-on bonus of up to $25K.

Responsibilities include:

•Overseeing nursing personnel and effectively managing their performance through leadership, coaching, facilitation, and guidance.
•Being readily available and actively engaged in supporting staff on a daily basis.
•Participating in QA/PI projects to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Adhering to facility infection control policies and procedures at all times.
•Playing an active role in the development and achievement of hospital regulatory compliance goals. Adhering to hospital and unit-specific policies and procedures.
•Facilitating the scheduling process and making adjustments to meet the hospital's needs.
•Providing fair and consistent leadership across all departments.
•Communicating quality improvement, risk, and safety concerns to the Director of the department and the quality department.
•Completing variance reports or statements of concern promptly and appropriately.
•Participating in Individualized Patient Care by ensuring the use of whiteboards and other patient satisfaction criteria.
•Notifying staff in instances of emergency call-ins.
•Operating within the established hospital procedures during emergencies, including the utilization of the hospital's emergency plan, HICS, and NIMS when necessary.
•Maintaining clear and positive communication with co-workers and promoting teamwork.
•Acting as a resource to solve problems.
•Acting as an ambassador for the health center by speaking positively about it in the presence of patients and community members.
Additional information:
•The facility has over 200 beds. The position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and these positions have been recently created.
•This is a great department with a cohesive team, so we are seeking someone who will fit in well and has excellent communication skills.
