  • Location: Waverly, NY (Situated in the Southern Tier region of NYS)
  1. Our occupational therapy team plays a vital role in promoting the health and welfare of residents by delivering top-notch therapy services.
  2. A valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice is mandatory.


  • Implement effective occupational therapy treatments according to physician's orders and maintain necessary communication with physicians.

  • Keep records of evaluations, progress notes, MDS records, and discharge summaries for residents involved in the occupational therapy program.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the specific needs of residents and improve rehabilitation or function maintenance.

  • Contribute to Resident Care Planning meetings and attend them in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy.

  • Maintain accurate statistical records of residents' treatments.

  • Assist in conducting in-service training programs as requested.

  • Record and update the care plan of each resident.


  • Successful completion of an approved occupational therapy school is a must.

  • A valid state license for practicing occupational therapy is necessary.

  • Preferred two years of experience in occupational therapy.

  • Interest in providing occupational therapy treatment to geriatric and subacute populations using a team approach.

  • Ability to supervise others is essential.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Must possess a sense of responsibility and have the ability to work well with residents, families, and colleagues.

  • Must exhibit qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to collaborate effectively with others.

  • Must be comfortable working with geriatric and chronically ill residents and collaborating with other professionals in a friendly and helpful manner.

  • Ability to perform tasks to the highest standards of excellence is required.
