TITLE: Therapeutic Rehabilitation Specialist
LOCATION: Miles City, MONTANA

Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in therapeutic rehabilitation required.
• Active registration with the American Therapeutic Rehabilitation Association is required.
• Must be licensed within the State of Montana.
Hours and compensation:
• Day shift position available.
• Compensation ranges from $34.50/hr to $42/hr, with full benefits and relocation/sign-on bonus included.
Responsibilities:
• The Therapeutic Rehabilitation Specialist will evaluate and provide treatment to assigned patients, assisting them in reaching their maximum performance level and utilizing their acquired skills to the fullest extent within the community and their capabilities.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and maintain accurate documentation of assigned patients based on departmental standards and procedures. Offer consultation on areas such as environmental design, adaptive equipment, proper patient positioning to prevent contractures and splinting, as well as collaborate with local schools, nursing homes, home care agencies, and hospitals.
• Maintain timely and precise patient records and reports.
• Develop and implement treatment programs to enhance patient functioning. Utilize therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination. Provide instruction on adapted techniques and the use of adaptive equipment for tasks like meal preparation, home management, dressing, feeding, and other self-care abilities. Train patients in the use of upper-extremity prosthetic devices to resume their daily routines. Participate in home assessments.
• Conduct therapy for neurological integration, administer sensor-motor integration treatment techniques, and implement visual perceptual-motor remediation programs. Employ activities to enhance the developmental levels of patients. Customize therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.
• Create and fabricate splints as prescribed by doctors. Design and/or fabricate slings and adaptive equipment to meet the specific requirements of patients and their families.
• Deliver treatment programs to patients with traumatic brain injuries. Utilize activities to improve judgment skills, reality orientation, and organizational abilities.
• Provide prevention therapy to maintain functional skills. Offer instruction on energy conservation, joint protection, safety techniques for sensory loss, transferring methods, and addressing visual field deficits. Train patients' families in personal care for the patients, focusing on proper transfer techniques to prevent back strain.
• Conduct activities to assess patients' organizational skills, attention spans, cognitive abilities, coordination (fine and gross motor), and adaptive equipment needs.
• Design home programs and provide instruction to patients or families on implementing and carrying out these programs.
• Contribute to patient support groups alongside other team members.
• Conduct evaluations and develop personalized care plans.
