OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (OT)

Salary: $85-140K+ Full Benefits + Paid Relocation + Sign On Bonus
The scope of the Therapeutic Occupation Practitioner is to coordinate and deliver restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to clients at the Center and in their homes. Collaborating with the Primary Care Physician, rehabilitation team, and other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), the practitioner aims to enhance client independence, safety, and functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments to determine participant needs, preferences, and goals for occupational therapy and actively contribute to IDT meetings for care plan development
- Implement and document occupational therapy interventions as prescribed by physicians and outlined in care plans, utilizing devices, techniques, and activities to improve muscle re-education, cognitive function, perceptual-motor skills, endurance, and independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Oversee Therapy Assistants, providing them with training, guidance, and supervision for the implementation of Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP)
- Provide training and instructions to staff, participants, and caregivers/families in areas relevant to occupational therapy
- Collaborate with IDT members to ensure smooth transitions in care settings and actively participate in end-of-life care coordination and support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program adhering to AOTA & ACOTE standards
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical occupational therapy experience working with frail or elderly populations
- Preferred two (2) years of supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members
- Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as required by the state of employment
