- Our occupational therapy team plays a vital role in promoting the health and welfare of residents by delivering top-notch therapy services.
- A valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice is mandatory.
Responsibilities:

Implement effective occupational therapy treatments according to physician's orders and maintain necessary communication with physicians.

Keep records of evaluations, progress notes, MDS records, and discharge summaries for residents involved in the occupational therapy program.

Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the specific needs of residents and improve rehabilitation or function maintenance.

Contribute to Resident Care Planning meetings and attend them in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy.

Maintain accurate statistical records of residents' treatments.

Assist in conducting in-service training programs as requested.

Record and update the care plan of each resident.
Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved occupational therapy school is a must.

A valid state license for practicing occupational therapy is necessary.

Preferred two years of experience in occupational therapy.

Interest in providing occupational therapy treatment to geriatric and subacute populations using a team approach.

Ability to supervise others is essential.

Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Must possess a sense of responsibility and have the ability to work well with residents, families, and colleagues.

Must exhibit qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Must be comfortable working with geriatric and chronically ill residents and collaborating with other professionals in a friendly and helpful manner.

Ability to perform tasks to the highest standards of excellence is required.
