  • Our team of occupational therapy professionals plays a crucial role in promoting the overall health and well-being of residents by delivering high-quality therapy services.
  • A valid Occupational Therapy license specific to the state is required.
  • Rotating schedule including weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement effective occupational therapy treatments as per physician's orders; maintain regular communication with physicians.

  • Keep accurate written records such as evaluations, progress notes, MDS records, and discharge summaries for residents in the occupational therapy program.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address the special needs of residents and improve their rehabilitation or maintenance of function.

  • Participate in Resident Care Planning meetings, and act as a representative in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy.

  • Maintain statistical records of residents' treatments.

  • Assist in providing in-service training programs as needed.

  • Update and maintain resident care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited occupational therapy school.

  • Hold a valid state license for practicing occupational therapy.

  • Preferred experience of at least two years in occupational therapy.

  • Interest in utilizing a team approach for occupational therapy treatment programs focused on the geriatric and subacute populations.

  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must possess a sense of responsibility and work well with residents, families, and colleagues.

  • Ability to demonstrate maturity, diplomacy, and effective collaboration.

  • Capable of interacting positively with geriatric and chronically ill residents and other professionals.

  • Ability to perform assigned tasks to meet established standards of excellence.
