PRN - Day Care Setting

We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated Occupational Therapist to become a vital part of our dynamic team. As an integral member, your role will be instrumental in assisting children to regain and enhance their ability to engage in daily activities. Through close interactions with patients, you will assess their individual needs and design personalized treatment plans to overcome their specific challenges.

Collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will deliver comprehensive care that promotes independence and enriches overall quality of life.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing evaluations and providing supervision
• Assisting in developing fine motor skills, enabling children to grasp and release objects effectively, and improving their handwriting abilities
• Addressing hand-eye coordination issues to enhance play skills, such as hitting a target, batting a ball, and copying from a blackboard
• Aiding children with developmental delays in performing daily tasks independently, including toileting, bathing, getting dressed, brushing their teeth, and feeding themselves
• Supporting individuals with sensory and attention issues by improving focus and social skills
• Teaching anger-management techniques to those with behavioral disorders, encouraging positive ways to deal with anger, such as writing about feelings or engaging in physical activities
• Evaluating patients' need for specialized equipment, such as wheelchairs, splints, bathing equipment, dressing devices, or communication aids

Qualifications:

• Graduate degree, either a master's degree or a clinical doc
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills
• Adaptability and openness to change
• Strong collaboration skills
• Proficient in documentation and writing
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities and people skills
