Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - Day Care Setting

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support in helping children enhance their daily activities and improve their overall functionality. Through close collaboration with patients, you will assess their needs and create customized treatment plans to address their specific challenges.

This position involves:

• Evaluating and supervising patient progress
• Aiding in the development of fine motor skills, including handwriting proficiency and object manipulation
• Improving hand-eye coordination for better play skills, such as target hitting, ball batting, and copying from a blackboard
• Assisting individuals with developmental delays to perform daily tasks independently, such as toileting, bathing, dressing, teeth brushing, and feeding
• Working with those with sensory and attention issues to enhance focus and social skills
• Teaching anger-management techniques to individuals with behavioral disorders, fostering positive ways to cope with anger
• Evaluating the need for specialized equipment like wheelchairs, splints, bathing aids, dressing devices, and communication aids

Qualifications:

• Graduate degree (master's degree or clinical doctorate)
