Occupational Therapist (Home Health)
We are currently seeking experienced occupational therapists who can work from home.
As an occupational therapist, your role will involve helping patients achieve their treatment plans and engaging in therapeutic activities. This will include administering manual physical exercises, guiding and supporting patients in non-manual exercises, functional activities, and daily living tasks. You will also provide assistive and supportive quality care. Additionally, you will assess and interpret evaluations and test results, and collaborate with physicians to determine treatment plans. It will be your responsibility to document patient care services in compliance with legal and professional requirements, ensuring accurate and thorough record-keeping.
Your specific duties will include:
- Conducting the SOC Start of Care
- Evaluating patients
- Following up with patients to ensure they still meet eligibility requirements for home health services (Note: Medicare does not impose a limit on the number of episodes allowed for any home health benefit, including maintenance therapy)
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- Must possess licensure in the state of California
- At least 1 year of home health experience as an occupational therapist
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor
