  • Our occupational therapy practitioners play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of residents by delivering comprehensive and quality therapy services.
  • This schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • State-specific Occupational Therapy license required.


  • Initiate skilled occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians; maintain necessary communication with physicians.
  • Prepare written evaluations, progress notes, MDS records, and discharge summaries for residents in the occupational therapy program.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address the specific needs of residents and enhance rehabilitation or maintenance of function.
  • Provide input for Resident Care Planning meetings and attend these meetings in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy.
  • Maintain accurate statistical records of residents' treatments.
  • Assist with in-service training programs upon request.
  • Record and update resident's care plan.


  • Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy is required.
  • A valid state license to practice occupational therapy is required.
  • Preferred two years of experience in occupational therapy.
  • Interest in occupational therapy treatment programs for the geriatric and subacute populations, utilizing a team approach.
  • Ability to provide effective guidance to others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to work well with others.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other staff members.
  • Ability to work with geriatric and chronically ill residents, as well as other professionals in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Ability to perform tasks to meet established standards of excellence.
