  1. Join our occupational therapy staff and contribute to the overall well-being of residents by providing high-quality therapy services.
  2. Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state is mandatory.
Responsibilities -
  • Implement skilled occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain regular communication with them.

  • Keep thorough documentation of evaluations, progress notes, MDS records, and discharge summaries for residents receiving occupational therapy.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address specialized needs of residents and enhance their rehabilitation or maintenance of function.

  • Participate in Resident Care Planning meetings and act as a substitute in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy.

  • Maintain accurate statistical records of residents' treatments.

  • Contribute to in-service training programs when requested.

  • Update and maintain residents' care plans.

Qualifications -

  • Completion of an approved occupational therapy program is mandatory.

  • Hold a valid state license to practice occupational therapy.

  • Preferably have two years of occupational therapy experience.

  • Desire to work with geriatric and subacute populations in occupational therapy treatment programs using a collaborative approach.

  • Strong leadership skills are necessary.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work harmoniously with others are essential.

  • Responsible and able to establish rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.

  • Comfortable working with geriatric and chronically ill residents, as well as other healthcare professionals.

  • Aim to deliver work that meets high standards of excellence.
