Associate Attorney - Litigation
Location: San Diego, CA (also considering Torrance or Downtown Los Angeles)
Our client, a prestigious law firm ranked in the top 100, is searching for a skilled lawyer to join their litigation department in San Diego. This position presents an exciting opportunity for a litigator with experience in complex civil and commercial litigation to join a dynamic and expanding practice.
Profile of Ideal Candidate:
- Graduate of a top-tier law school with a strong academic record (JD degree).
- Active membership in the California Bar (in good standing).
- Minimum of 8 years of specialized experience in complex litigation, class actions, and products liability cases at a medium-sized or large law firm.
- Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents, conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, present arguments in court, and manage case proceedings.
- Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills, with strong communication abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse range of complex civil and commercial litigation matters, including defense in products liability cases (particularly under the Song-Beverly Act), class actions, and other sophisticated disputes.
- Collaborate with an experienced team of trial attorneys and litigators experienced in state and federal court proceedings.
- Offer strategic counsel and deliver innovative, business-focused legal solutions.
- Engage in all phases of litigation, from assessing cases to trial and resolution.
