Operations and Maintenance Manager - Power Plant
Location: Lakewood, NJ (with occasional travel to Rising Sun, MD)

We’re looking for a skilled and driven Operations and Maintenance Manager to lead the daily plant operations and maintenance across three facilities — two in Lakewood, NJ, and one in Rising Sun, MD. Based in Lakewood, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective performance of our plants, while leading a team of technicians and collaborating with vendors and leadership.

Your Role:

• Manage daily operations and maintenance for all three facilities

• Provide hands-on guidance for plant startups, shutdowns, and routine operations

• Ensure safety procedures and environmental compliance are strictly followed

• Supervise electrical and mechanical inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance

• Oversee plant instrumentation and control systems to detect and address issues promptly

• Maintain and monitor plant chemistry within required guidelines

• Collect and analyze operational data; maintain accurate logs and records

• Develop and implement standard procedures for efficient operations and maintenance

• Assign, monitor, and ensure high-quality performance of operations technicians

• Assist in recruiting, training, and developing plant personnel

• Collaborate with vendors and service providers

• Support the preparation and management of the annual operations and maintenance budget

• Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and plant performance

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

• 5–10 years of experience in power plant operations

• New Jersey Black Seal required

• Solid knowledge of operations, mechanical systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems

• First Aid & CPR certification

• Proficient with CMMS, data gathering tools, and Microsoft Office Suite

• Proven leadership skills with a focus on safety and team development

• Strong organizational and analytical abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
