About the Role

Our Fortune 200 dairy client is seeking a hands-on, people-focused Operations Manager to lead a 24/7 food production facility near Harrisburg, PA. This is a pivotal role responsible for building high-performing teams, improving production efficiencies, and driving results across all KPIs—while ensuring a positive and safe work environment for over 200 hourly associates.

As part of the Plant Steering Team, you’ll shape strategic initiatives and operational excellence that support long-term growth. If you’re passionate about food manufacturing leadership and ready to make a big impact—this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor salaried supervisors and over 200 hourly team members in a 24/7 operation

• Drive safety, quality, service, and cost performance in all production areas

• Optimize labor strategies and capital equipment planning for long-term efficiency

• Develop and implement systems, policies, and SOPs to improve operations

• Partner with HR to ensure consistent and effective employee relations

• Manage operational budgets and capital expenditures

• Identify and grow talent within the department, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

• Ensure best-in-class manufacturing practices and team training are consistently executed

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required)

• 7+ years of progressive experience in food manufacturing leadership (Associate’s degree with 10+ years also accepted)

• Experience in high-speed, large-scale food production environments

• Strong communicator with proven success in team development, labor planning, and cost optimization

• Deep understanding of product and labor cost drivers and how to manage them effectively
