Are you ready to join a leading eye care provider in Auburn, AL? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Eyewear Specialist to join our team!

As an Eyewear Specialist, you will play a crucial role in recommending and providing exceptional eyewear options to our customers. Your responsibilities will include taking measurements, fitting and adjusting glasses, and educating customers on proper eyewear care.

In addition, you will collaborate with other eye care professionals to receive prescriptions and send them to our Laboratory Technicians. You will also be responsible for providing customers with sample frames and maintaining accurate customer data regarding their prescriptions.

• Retrieve patient prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists.
• Gather customer information and measure the ocular area.
• Suggest frames or contact lenses that meet the customer's style, face, and specifications.
• Modify and fit frames according to prescriptions and customer preferences, ensuring a perfect fit for their face.
• Generate work orders for our optical technicians to manufacture lenses.
• Utilize specialized equipment, including calipers, lensometers, and lens gauges.
• Maintain inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure a wide selection for customer satisfaction.
• Repair broken frames as needed.
• Educate customers on how to properly wear and care for glasses and contact lenses.
• Manage administrative duties such as prescription management, customer records, and insurance coordination.
