Your Qualifications:
•Successful completion of a basic Operating Room Technician Program. Possession of Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification.
•Completion of Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level within three (3) months of being hired.
•Preferably, at least one year of experience in general surgical procedures.
Your Schedule and Compensation Potential:
•This position offers full-time employment, Monday through Friday, from 6:45 am to 5:15 pm, with rotation for on-call duties.
•Compensation ranges between $29.50 and $45.50 per hour, depending on experience.
•A comprehensive benefits package is provided, including up to $5,000 for relocation assistance.
Your Responsibilities:
•Collaborating closely with the Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will perform the role of an Operating Room Technician, adhering to AORN Standards of Practice.
•As an OR Tech, you will be responsible for managing supplies and equipment as directed by the Operating Room Registered Nurse, promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel from other departments.
•Understanding the purpose and functioning of Perioperative Services is crucial, enabling you to make well-informed decisions during challenging situations.
•Demonstrating a profound knowledge of the location, care, and usage of all Operating Room equipment and supplies.
•Maintaining a sterile environment at all times.
•Executing room turnovers and assisting with instrument turnover and washing as time permits.
•Ensuring clean bed linens on patient stretchers when required during surgeries.
•Assisting with routine housekeeping tasks, such as regular refrigerator defrosting, on a weekly and monthly basis.
•Supporting perioperative staff in patient transfers and managing restless patients.
•Planning and preparing for tasks and required equipment related to surgical procedures.
•Performing all other duties assigned to an OR Tech.
