Panel Shop Technician

Location: Poulsbo, WA

The position of Panel Shop Assistant in Poulsbo, WA involves the assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electro-hydraulic controls systems and installations.

Primary Responsibilities

While not an exhaustive list, the following duties and responsibilities may be expanded and vary as needed:

1.) Perform a range of assembly, testing, and adjustments on panel assembly and test fixtures.

2.) Assist and provide guidance in the layout, installation, adjustment, and repair of automation-based systems.

3.) Conduct basic troubleshooting of automated electro-mechanical systems.

4.) Carry out I/O checks and adhere to all safety practices and procedures set by the company.

5.) Assemble and install marine electro-hydraulic equipment ensuring adherence to company guidelines and tolerances.

6.) Manage supply levels for the machine shop by monitoring and ordering as necessary.

7.) Use various gauges, meters, and electrical testing equipment to verify specifications.

8). Provide technical support to customers via phone and email to address and resolve their questions and issues.

9.) Communicate effectively with relevant company personnel to facilitate the resolution of product problems.

10). Complete all required records and documentation for customers and the company.

11.) Stay updated with industry advancements and maintain technical competence.

12.) Effectively interact with customers in technical support situations over phone or email.


1.) Possess an associate's degree or relevant experience.

2.) Basic skills in wiring and industrial panel assembly.

3.) Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, electronics schematics, and equipment repair manuals.

4.) Basic knowledge of industrial automation or electro-mechanical systems.
