Paralegal – Real Estate

Real Estate / Transactional Paralegal
Location: Houston, TX | Full-Time | Onsite

Our client, a highly regarded law firm in the Houston area, is seeking an experienced Real Estate/Transactional Paralegal to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven professional with a solid foundation in commercial real estate law and transactional support. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and thrives in a collaborative legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and revise real estate purchase and sale agreements based on attorney and client input

  • Prepare a full range of closing documents, including deeds, bills of sale, and lease assignments

  • Conduct comprehensive title and survey reviews, identifying and resolving exceptions

  • Coordinate with title companies to clear title issues and gather supporting documentation

  • Draft and review easements, surface waivers, and other real estate instruments

  • Analyze mineral reservations for applicability to subject properties

  • Review, summarize, and analyze commercial and residential leases

  • Prepare loan documentation including promissory notes, deeds of trust, UCC filings, and guarantees

  • Draft and maintain corporate entity documents, including resolutions for corporations, partnerships, and LLCs

  • Oversee and update due diligence checklists throughout the transaction lifecycle

  • Ensure compliance with relevant Texas codes, including the Property Code, Business Organizations Code, and Commerce Code

  • Research and reserve entity names, and file organizational documents such as articles of formation, bylaws, and EIN applications

  • Prepare corporate minutes and maintain corporate records

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent professional experience in a law firm setting

  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate transactions, especially title and survey review

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Self-starter who can manage priorities independently while working effectively within a team

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency
