- Knowledge and experience in medical billing/coding is desirable, while previous experience in patient access or registration would be advantageous!

Summary:
- The Manager is responsible for overseeing the duties and responsibilities of all Patient Access employees. This includes providing Meditech training for all ADM users, including the decentralized Access areas. The Manager also performs several quality assurance tasks to monitor and ensure the accuracy of the work performed by the Patient Access staff, ensuring compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Manager provides coverage for open/vacant shifts when needed. The Manager consistently demonstrates and models the values of a Healing Environment in all interactions and collaborates effectively with other departments and external customers. The Manager contributes to the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.

Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and maintain schedules to ensure adequate coverage for department needs. Assist with staffing as necessary and participate in on-call rotation. Process payroll.
- Monitor productivity and work quality systematically to ensure the achievement of individual and team goals. Conduct focused reviews when required.
- Assist in the development and upkeep of policies, procedures, and other tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify daily census to ensure accuracy of census statistics.

Monitor the creation of duplicate medical record numbers and address insurance errors that cause delays in claims processing. Correct errors, provide feedback and training, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Experience:
- Minimum: Previous experience in a medical office, comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the revenue cycle and accounts receivable, familiarity with medical terminology including CPT and ICD10 coding, previous experience in cash collections and balancing, excellent communication skills, consistent accuracy in typing/data entry. Preferred: Experience in supervision, training, process improvement, employee scheduling, conducting staff meetings, and participation in various committees or work groups. Experience in conducting employee evaluations and at least three years of experience in Patient Access and/or Patient Financial Services.
- Minimum: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a complex, multi-entity, and multi-cultural healthcare system. Ability to manage projects, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance teamwork through positive role modeling. Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to handle public interactions professionally and courteously. Proficient in computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and power point.
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, and Power Point. Knowledge of State and Federal Regulatory requirements and JCAHO standards. Bilingual proficiency.
