We are seeking a skilled individual with a passion for patient care to join our medical team at a nursing home in Rockford, IL. As a member of the team, the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide outstanding medical care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with essential activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
• Monitor vital signs of patients.
• Administer medications to patients under the guidance of a licensed nurse or physician.
• Help patients with transfers and mobility, utilizing patient lifts and wheelchair transfers.
• Communicate with patients and their families, offering emotional support and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Report any changes in patients' conditions to a registered nurse or physician.
• Educate patients' relatives on the necessary care.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

The successful candidate will provide age-specific patient care in accordance with facility procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. Additionally, they should possess the following qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Possess education in physical sciences and/or training in laboratory techniques (preferred).
3. Minimum of 2 years of dialysis experience (preferred).
4. Reprocessing experience, including equipment repair and maintenance, is desirable.
5. Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis; or state license or registration as required.
6. Valid driver’s license and insurance, if travel by car is needed for company business.
7. Knowledge of computers is desirable.
8. Certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) is highly preferred.
