Payroll Analyst

  • Monitor incoming payroll tax notices; research and resolve related tax issues

  • Handle multi-jurisdiction taxation for new job setups and ensure compliance through routine audits

  • Register new tax jurisdictions and maintain communication with relevant government agencies

  • Process assigned payrolls for multiple locations across various states

  • Reconcile payroll taxes before transmission and validate final reports

  • Prepare and submit all required compliance reports

  • Stay up to date with changes in federal, state, and local tax regulations affecting employee payroll

  • Demonstrate knowledge of payroll and benefits laws, including COBRA, FLSA, and FMLA

Payroll Specialist

  • Enter all new hires into the payroll system and terminate employees as needed

  • Process garnishments and child support orders in compliance with legal requirements

  • Handle assigned multi-state payroll processing

  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate final reports

  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time

  • Stay informed about government regulations impacting employee taxation

  • Ensure employment verifications are completed promptly

  • Demonstrate knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations, including COBRA, FLSA, and FMLA

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll concerns and provide timely resolution.

Payroll Clerk

  • Enter all new hires into the payroll system and process terminations for departing employees

  • Initiate the onboarding module and track progress through completion

  • Process employee address changes and update applicable tax information

  • Validate I-9 documentation and ensure completion of E-Verify procedures

  • Process garnishments and child support orders in accordance with requirements

  • Ensure employment verifications are completed in a timely manner

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

  • Process pay rate changes in the payroll system and verify for accuracy

  • Learn new payroll concepts to support growth within the department

  • Assist with various projects as assigned

  • Support escheatment processes by identifying and handling unclaimed wages per regulations
