What You’ll Be Doing:

As the Payroll Manager, you will lead and oversee payroll operations for a healthcare system and its partner organizations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supervising all aspects of the payroll process.

  • Collaborating with HR leadership and department managers.

  • Leading year-end processes such as W-2 production.

  • Managing federal, state, and local payroll tax reporting and compliance (941, IT-942, school tax returns, etc.).

  • Implementing and maintaining payroll policies and procedures.

  • Testing system changes and ensuring accurate payroll processing through Workday.

  • Guiding a team of payroll professionals to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree with 5 years of payroll and management experience also considered.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with computerized payroll systems (Workday, BSI), Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting tools.

 

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, primarily onsite.

  • Occasional flexibility to work remotely as needed (not on a regular basis).

  • Hourly rate ranges from $37.29 to $51.33, depending on experience (10 years of experience is typically around $44/hr).

  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, and relocation assistance.

 

Team & Transition:

You’ll report directly to a respected Director and be supported by a team of 3 employees and 1 PRN. The current Payroll Manager is retiring, allowing for a smooth transition and training overlap.
