Location: Leverkusen, NW, Germany (Hybrid Remote: 2 days remote)

Salary: EUR 66,000 - 77,000 € (Annual Salary)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Leverkusen as a Payroll & Total Rewards Analyst. In this role, you will serve as a specialist in payroll processing and benefits matters across assigned EU locations, providing support to our regional HR partners. You will play a vital role in implementing and managing compensation, benefits, and payroll programs, as well as assisting with external audits and inquiries. This hybrid remote position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic global environment and drive continuous improvement in our HR processes.

Main Responsibilities:

EU Payroll:

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing of monthly payrolls.
  • Act as the main point of contact for HRIS and payroll-related queries within the EU.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and assist with payroll reconciliation.
  • Provide support to HR Solutions Analysts in their absence.
  • Assist with regular audits (IATF, ISO9000, K-SOX) and governmental inspections.
  • Maintain and update process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support local negotiations related to payroll matters.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team and payroll service providers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Assist with the implementation of system updates in Workday and other relevant platforms.

EU Total Rewards:

  • Serve as a specialist in the company's pension plan at the Leverkusen site and other EU benefits.
  • Support the design, implementation, and regional rollout of benefits programs.
  • Create presentation materials for the approval of new or modified benefits.
  • Participate in the development of compensation and benefits communications.
  • Conduct benchmark surveys and provide insights to regional HR partners.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance compensation and benefits administration.
  • Support regular audits of Total Rewards processes.
  • Maintain and update process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports and analyses.
  • Assist the finance department during the annual budgeting process (salary planning, AOP).
  • Provide support for other regional Total Rewards requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources, along with experience in payroll processing. Alternatively, a certified payroll accountant or tax specialist with at least 5 years of experience in payroll.
  • Strong expertise in time management programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of social security and payroll tax laws.
  • Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to support regional projects.
  • Accountability for oneself and others.
  • Experience with payroll systems, HR applications, and platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources, along with experience in payroll processing.
  • Experience with shift allowances.
  • Experience and knowledge of international HR and payroll functions.
  • Experience with collective agreements and overseeing company pension plans.
  • Experience with Workday.
