Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonography Supervisor

Minimum of five to seven years of experience in a hospital-based pediatric echo lab environment

Ability to perform scanning responsibilities if assigned staff are unavailable

Completion of an approved cardiac sonographer training curriculum program

Current registration as a cardiac sonographer (RDCS) in Pediatrics through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training

Demonstrated knowledge of relevant cardiovascular services and ability to apply principles in various settings

Proven supervisory skills in training and guiding employees, along with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to improve cardiovascular services

Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a complex, challenging environment

Ability to organize staff and unit operations efficiently and effectively

Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, patients, and interdisciplinary team members

Ability to identify and propose solutions to issues within defined procedures and policies using critical thinking

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical cardiovascular concepts, actively listen, persuade, advise, and counsel

Advanced knowledge of organization's cardiovascular testing equipment and technology, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements

Minimum of three years of experience as a lead or supervisor in a pediatric cardiovascular diagnostic laboratory

Familiarity with billing procedures and revenue management in a healthcare environment

Current registration as a cardiac sonographer (RDCS) in Adults through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
