Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 + Performance Bonus

Join the nationally recognized team at Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse Practitioner. This vital role bridges the gap between physicians and nursing teams, supporting the delivery of exceptional care for pediatric oncology patients across inpatient and some outpatient settings. You’ll function as an independent and integral part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care while helping drive excellence in outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive care for pediatric oncology and bone marrow transplant (BMT) patients in the inpatient setting, with occasional ambulatory follow-up care

Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care coordination, and family education

Collaborate closely with physicians and the extended care team to ensure continuity of care

Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and respond to changes in patient condition

Meet clinical productivity expectations as determined by the Division Chief

Rotate through day and night shifts, as required by patient care needs
Qualifications – Required:
-
CPNP-AC (Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care) certification
-
Master’s Degree in Nursing with a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner specialization
-
PALS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
-
Nurse Practitioner I: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Pediatric BMT or Pediatric Oncology setting

Nurse Practitioner II: Minimum 6 months of NP experience in a Pediatric BMT or Pediatric Oncology unit
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Active CPNP-AC certification
-
2+ years of RN experience in a PICU or pediatric acute care setting OR 6+ months of NP experience in a PICU or pediatric acute care role
-
Pediatric Oncology or BMT experience preferred
-
Flexibility to work rotating day/night shifts as part of a dedicated team
