Job Opportunity - Home Infusion Pharmacist in Suffolk, VA

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled and experienced home infusion pharmacist to join our team in Suffolk, VA. Home infusion experience is highly valued for this role. As an infusion pharmacist, you will play a crucial leadership and management role in overseeing pharmacy operations. Additionally, you will provide clinical pharmacy services to consumers and referral sources by evaluating prescriber orders, compounding sterile preparations, and safely dispensing medications, supplies, and administration equipment. You will also be responsible for supervising pharmacy support personnel and implementing quality control and performance improvement procedures. This position reports directly to the pharmacy owner(s).

Qualifications

• Required: Hold a valid pharmacist license in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of patient services; actively licensed in the state of patient services
• Required: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with employees, referral sources, physicians, and consumers
• Preferred: At least three (3) years of clinical experience
• Preferred: Minimum of one (1) year of experience with infusion therapy and sterile compounding
• Preferred: Training in sterile compounding
• Preferred: Experience in managing pharmacy support personnel
