Pharmaceutical Supervisor Responsibilities:

As the Pharmaceutical Supervisor, you will lead and guide the pharmacy department team to effectively drive sales and deliver outstanding customer service in order to achieve profitability objectives. You will have the responsibility of accurately dispensing prescriptions in a timely manner, completing associated documentation, and addressing customer inquiries regarding medication usage. Furthermore, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals and insurance companies to obtain and verify critical customer information.
Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, and oversee the training and development of pharmacy staff.
Organize, assign, and supervise daily work tasks.
Perform performance evaluations, recognize exceptional performance, and handle disciplinary matters.
Establish and manage work schedules.
Resolve partner concerns and manage operational challenges.
Utilize effective inventory management techniques to maintain optimal stock levels.
Evaluate profit and loss, sales, shrinkage, and labor data to drive performance improvements.
Prepare concise summaries of relevant issues for upper management.
Ensure accurate fulfillment of prescriptions according to specifications.
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records and paperwork.
Document necessary billing information for insurance reimbursements.
Administer immunizations.
Participate in local health fairs to educate the community.
Ensure proper stocking, rotation, and disposal of dated products.
Ensure adherence of pharmacy personnel to legal and company guidelines regarding security, certification, licensure, and confidentiality.
Foster a friendly and customer-oriented atmosphere.
Greet customers and assist them in selecting products.
Address customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring their satisfaction.
Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with local healthcare providers.
Contact doctors and insurance companies to gather and verify necessary customer information.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy department operations.
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Exhibit strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
Adaptability in learning new technology systems and processes.
Effective communication with both customers and colleagues.
Polite and customer-focused demeanor.
Ability to establish and maintain positive customer relationships.
Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pharmaceutical Supervisor Qualifications:

Advanced understanding of pharmacy department operations.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree is required.
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification is necessary.
Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
