What we are seeking:
• Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio or eligibility is required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is mandatory.
Hours and potential compensation:
• Multiple positions available in hospital, outpatient, and home infusion settings. We offer both 32-hour and 40-hour work weeks with weekend rotations.
• Compensation ranges from $17.50 per hour to $24.72 per hour, dependent on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefit package.
Your responsibilities:
• Assist pharmacists with various tasks, including drug preparation and distribution, unit-of-use packaging, automated floor stock maintenance (PYXIS), unit inspection completion, drug box and crash cart replenishment and maintenance, and utilizing computer applications to support the pharmaceutical care program.
• Specific to the Pharmacy Tech position:
- Prepare patient-specific drug orders quickly and accurately for final checks by pharmacists before dispensing them.
- Conduct interviews with patients and their families to determine their current medications.
- Perform necessary checks on work completed by other pharmacy technicians or support personnel to expedite distribution functions, enabling professional staff to have more time for clinical support.
- Replenish drug boxes and crash carts from various patient care areas in the hospital.
- Assist in providing educational in-service programs on distribution and automation systems to share the latest technology with care providers.
- Assist in inventory management of pharmaceuticals and collaborate with purchasing staff to minimize stock outages and maintain appropriate inventory levels.

• Specific to the Chemo IV Tech position:
- Responsible for daily surveillance and documentation of USP 797 and USP 800 environmental controls.
- Ensure daily required cleaning of the IV ante and clean rooms is completed.
- Supervise environmental service personnel for monthly IV ante and clean room terminal cleaning.
- Participate in and complete routine surface sampling as mandated by USP 797 and USP 800 regulations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the principles of HEPA filtered unidirectional airflow and understand its effects on the compounding area.
- Complete annual competency assessments related to IV and chemotherapy compounding.
- Ensure daily required cleaning of the IV ante and clean rooms is completed.
