- Location: Lancaster, New York (Close to Buffalo, NY).
- The role of the physiotherapy staff is to contribute to the residents' overall health and well-being by delivering high-quality therapy services. A valid state license for physiotherapy is mandatory.
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement prescribed physiotherapy treatments as per physicians' orders; maintain necessary communication with physicians.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents under the physiotherapy program.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address special requirements of residents, and enhance their rehabilitation or functional maintenance.
- Participate in Resident Care Planning meetings, and deputize for the Director of Physiotherapy when needed.
- Maintain statistical records of residents' treatments.
- Assist with in-service training programs as requested.
- Update and maintain residents' care plans in the Inter-disciplinary Kardex.
- Submit supply requisitions to the Director of Physiotherapy when needed for resident treatment.
- Assume all responsibilities of the Director of Physiotherapy when absent, including supervision of Physiotherapy Aides and completion of essential documentation.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from an accredited physiotherapy school is mandatory.
A valid state license for physiotherapy is required. - Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Preferred minimum of two years' experience in physiotherapy.
- Interest in providing physiotherapy treatments to geriatric and subacute populations is essential. Ability to lead and direct others is important.
