- Our Physical Therapy staff members play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of residents by providing comprehensive and high-quality therapy services. A valid state-specific Physical Therapy license is required for this position.
Responsibilities:

Execute skilled physical therapy treatments according to physician's orders, ensuring regular communication with physicians.

Maintain written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents participating in the physical therapy program.

Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the special needs of residents and enhance their rehabilitation or functional maintenance.

Contribute to Resident Care Planning meetings and attend such meetings in the absence of the Director of Physical Therapy.

Keep statistical records of residents' treatments.

Participate in in-service training programs as needed.

Update and maintain residents' plan of care in the Interdisciplinary Kardex.

Submit requisitions for necessary supplies for resident treatment to the Director of Physical Therapy.

Assume all responsibilities of the Director of Physical Therapy, including the supervision of Physical Therapy Aides and necessary documentation, during absences.
Qualifications:

Graduation from an approved physical therapy school is required.

Valid state license to practice physical therapy is required.

Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of experience in physical therapy.

Interest in physical therapy treatment programs for geriatric and subacute populations is necessary.

Ability to lead and direct others is required.
