  1. Our Physical Therapy staff members play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of residents by providing comprehensive and high-quality therapy services. A valid state-specific Physical Therapy license is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute skilled physical therapy treatments according to physician's orders, ensuring regular communication with physicians.

  • Maintain written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents participating in the physical therapy program.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the special needs of residents and enhance their rehabilitation or functional maintenance.

  • Contribute to Resident Care Planning meetings and attend such meetings in the absence of the Director of Physical Therapy.

  • Keep statistical records of residents' treatments.

  • Participate in in-service training programs as needed.

  • Update and maintain residents' plan of care in the Interdisciplinary Kardex.

  • Submit requisitions for necessary supplies for resident treatment to the Director of Physical Therapy.

  • Assume all responsibilities of the Director of Physical Therapy, including the supervision of Physical Therapy Aides and necessary documentation, during absences.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an approved physical therapy school is required.
  • Valid state license to practice physical therapy is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of experience in physical therapy.
  • Interest in physical therapy treatment programs for geriatric and subacute populations is necessary.
  • Ability to lead and direct others is required.
